The Fab Four: UK Signs MoU with Fourth US State

Today, one of the UK's trade ministers is in America to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the US state of Oklahoma. This will be the 4th MoU that the UK has signed with a US state following previous agreements with Indiana, North Carolina and South Carolina.

This MoU will focus on decarbonisation, with a particular focus on collaboration and investment in areas such as carbon capture, utilisation and storage. The deal will look to unlock opportunities for UK businesses to export more and encourage inward investment. Last year, the UK exports £174m worth of goods to Oklahoma in 2022.
